POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of customer applications, manufacturing, and test processes for the active alignment of cameras in a production environment.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Install, train, and provide service on the ASMPT AEi active alignment system.
  • Develop and refine precision manufacturing processes on customized automation machinery developed by ASMPT AEi for active alignment of precision cameras.
  • Create prototype product builds, including process data collection and evaluation against detailed customer requirements.
  • Provide project leadership for new machine start-up, debug and validation including Final Acceptance Test of systems with customers.
  • Collaborate with customers to define specifications and requirements for active alignment, develop application processes and resolve technical and design issues during machine acceptance.
  • Interact with mechanical, electrical, optical, and software engineers, manufacturing and service technicians to ensure goals for schedule, functionality and budget are met.
  • Read/Work from schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical orders (ECO’s) Work with hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and test equipment.
  • Prepare all required support documentation.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience as a Process Engineer or similar position responsible for production process engineering.
  • Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience, which may have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above, including through graduate level coursework and/or internship experience, must include:

  • Contributing to the design and assembly of automated manufacturing or capital equipment processes or systems involving optoelectronics, semiconductors, or microcontrollers
  • Designing Electro-Mechanical-Pneumatic systems for practical application using designed software
  • Inspecting deployed equipment, including electrical controls, pumps, or instruments boards
  • Applying mechanical skills to troubleshoot practical and process-related issues that apply to mechanical alignment

Note: This position requires 30% travel to unanticipated domestic and international locations. Position allows up to 20% hybrid work from remote office.
